About this Design Day

October 29, 2016 // 10am-4pm
This Post-Exchange Design Day brought together youth sector stakeholders –youth, youth workers, youth managers, policy makers, funders and citizens to collaboratively tackle four ‘thorny’ challenges that youth and youth workers experience. These four challenges were redefined as Idea Labs; the goal was to generate new ideas that can inform innovative, outside the box solutions for advancing youth wellbeing on these issues.

The Idea Labs provided participants with the opportunity to collaboratively work with peers from multiple vantage points in the sector; topic area specialists will be on hand to provide guidance and clarity when needed. Each Idea Lab shared their solutions and recommendations with the entire group for review and feedback. Click the button below to for our report, Collaborative Designing For Youth Wellbeing: The Story Of Our Design Day, which outlines the eight prototypes that were pitched, case study examples and reflections on the day.

This design day was hosted in collaboration with the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s Youth Opportunity Fund and MaRS Solutions Lab.
