TEAM UPDATES & HIGHLIGHTS
News and Highlights from May 2016
Conference Planning is underway!
We’ve decided on a title and we’ll be asking for ideas and feedback over the next couple months. The Youth. The Work. The System: A Provincial eXchange is all about knowledge to action for youth wellbeing, and will happen on October 28, 2016 with pre and post conference events on the 27th and 29th.
Our Evaluation Framework and CES webinar went very well.
As part of our three-part webinar series, we hosted two webinars that featured our own awesome team members. Harjeet (CES Academic Lead), Sarah, (Eastern Hub Academic Director), and Uzo (Provincial Academic Director) spoke in the Evaluation Framework webinar and Vivian (Northeastern Hub Manager), Lisa (Eastern Hub Manager), and Jessie (Senior Evaluation Manager) were featured in the CES webinar (recap to come).
Kudos to Rebecca, Knowledge eXchange Manager for pulling everything (and everyone) together and being an awesome webinar host!
The Northwestern Hub held a successful event with Youth CI in Thunder Bay.
The event was well attended with diverse attendees, and Karli was able to network and share information about upcoming YouthREX opportunities in her region, including CES, Critical Youth Work course and NOISE.
We sent out our second eXchange newsletter, The Round-Up #2.
The newsletter features staff resource picks from the eXchange library, youth sector relevant events, report launches and more. We got some nice feedback this round, with someone e-mailing us:
“WOH!!! Love this report. There is so much to gain from the documents sent. Diversion of our youth out of the youth justice system is mine to read, share and act upon. Do keep up this great work YouthRex… dynamic research.”
NOISE has wrapped up at the Eastern, Southwestern and Northeastern Hubs.
Congratulations to all the Hub NOISE teams for doing such a great job with your first runs of NOISE. We have some recaps and highlights from the Eastern and Northeastern Hub NOISE programs featured in our blog here and here. Check them out!
