Nicole graduated from Ryerson University’s Social Work program last June. She has been involved in the non-profit sector through volunteering, placements and employment. She completed her placements at Salvation Army and the Council of Agencies Serving South Asians. Nicole volunteered at Dr.Roz’s Healing Place and Our Place Community of Hope. Nicole has volunteered abroad in the Bahamas at Every Child Counts, a School for Special Needs, and did an internship in Mexico with a social worker. In addition, this is Nicole’s second year on the Youth Action Committee for Children’s Mental Health Ontario. Currently she is working with The Hinck-Dellcrest Centre as a Provincial Youth Outreach Worker.

Nicole plans on getting her Masters in Social Work, specializing in Mental Health. Her goals are to work with racialized youth who are experiencing mental health issues, and to advocate for youth in the mental health system. She plans to achieve this through the creation of a program or centre in Scarborough.
