Shaili Champaneria

Member, Youth Advisory Council

To think for yourself you must question authority and learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable, open-mindedness, chaotic, confused, vulnerability to inform yourself. – Timothy Leary

Shaili is a second year Biomedical Discovery and Commercialization student at McMaster University. She has first hand experience participating in youth programs such as Peel Students Presidents┬áCouncil’s Summit conference, volunteering with special needs students and working with children and youth at Kumon. Having an ethnic background, she has experienced the struggle of participating in extra-curricular programs and gaining parental support to do so.

Shaili wants to build a tiny house to live in, to inspire and help others to live a more sustainable lifestyle and to showcase to youth that there are many different ways to live than we actually know. She wishes to let her creative side lead her life and to help as many as she can along the way. There might be some degrees involved in the process.
