Tom Gleason

Tom recently finished his 4th year of part-time studies at the University of Toronto, majoring in Sexual Diversity Studies and Canadian Studies. This fall he will begin his studies in Nonprofit & Voluntary Sector Management at Ryerson University’s Chang School. While at U of T, Tom was heavily involved in student life, founding his college’s LGBTQ+ group and a club focused on Canadian politics. He also served as an executive member of his students’ association and LGBTOUT, as well as coordinator of a mental health peer support group.

 

Tom is currently the Executive Director of the Toronto Youth Cabinet, the official youth advisory body and youth advocacy organization of the City of Toronto. He hopes to pursue a career in the nonprofit or public sectors.
