In 2018, the Government of Canada launched a national conversation with youth. Young people discussed the issues that affect their lives, the types of supports they need to succeed, and the ways they wish to be engaged. Canada’s youth policy was developed out of those conversations. It reflects the values and priorities of young Canadians, gives young people a voice in matters important to them, and creates more opportunities for young people to build a stronger and more inclusive Canada.
