Through their ongoing commitment to our tenants and staff, Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC) is developing an Anti-Black Racism (ABR) Strategy. This strategy is based on understanding the experiences and needs of the Black communities they serve, and using these perspectives to inform the delivery of responsive and effective programs and services. The new ABR Strategy Team will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive and inclusive engagement strategy for both tenants and staff. The role will be conducting analysis of quantitative and qualitative data and compiling recommendations in a comprehensive action plan.
Reporting to the Director of Programs and Partnerships the Manager, Strategy Development – Confronting Anti-Black Racism Strategy will be responsible for developing Toronto Community Housing’s Confronting Anti-Black Racism work plan as well as other strategic initiatives related to the development of the plan. This involves leading enterprise-wide projects, developing strategies, and advising executives on the issues of Anti-Black Racism at Toronto Community Housing and in our communities. This role is responsible for supporting the highest levels of management in effective priority setting. Working directly with Senior staff and the Executive Leadership Team, the Manager is responsible for maintaining consistent communication and information sharing as it relates to Anti-Black Racism issues. This role will oversee a small team to support the engagement and outreach processes to seek input into TCHC’s CABR Strategy with Black Tenants and Staff.
