Research Project Opportunity: Youth w/Experience Using Mental Health Services

York University & Wilfrid Laurier University

Are you 13-24-years-old with experience using mental health services?

Has your family struggled financially?

Do you or have you supported your family to “get by” to make ends meet?

Participate in a FOCUS GROUP or INTERVIEW: Share your experiences, thoughts, and feelings about the support you provided your family that helped your family “get by” to make ends meet. The support can be financial (paid or unpaid), material, physical, psychological, or emotional. You have the option of remote or in-person with social distancing.

Receive $80.00 for your time and to cover the costs of participating.

If you want more information, or if you or someone you know is interested in participating, please contact Dr. Maria Liegghio directly by telephone/text at 416-220-0694 or by email at mlieg@yorku.ca by November 30, 2020. A time to meet individually with you and your parent/guardian will be set-up, at which time you will be provided with the full details of the project.

Ethics clearance was provided by the Office of Research Ethics at York University, as well as the Research Ethics Board at Wilfrid Laurier University. Funding support was provided as Insight Grant by the Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC).
