Every 2 years International Coalition for Children with Incarcerated Parents (INCCIP) holds an international conference to discuss the issues faced by young people who have lived experience of parental incarceration, good practice in the field, current research and ways to improve the lives of impacted children across the globe.
This is INCCIP’s 3rd conference and the 1st virtual conference. This year’s theme is “Striving, Thriving and Making a Difference”. As well as recognising the challenges that young people face when a parent goes to prison, our Youth Track will provide an opportunity for young people to share their life successes in order to motivate and lift one another up, as well as make suggestions to researchers and practitioners about what can and should be done next! We also hope that we are able to create a global network of young people who understand, support and celebrate one another. Youth Track invites youth from 13-25 years old to participate.
Dates and times for Youth Track: The conference is free and runs Wednesday Sept 29th, Thursday Sept 30th and Friday Oct 1st 2021.
