Centering Black Youth Wellbeing: Resources for Learning, Action, and Community Engagement
KDE HubThis webinar introduces The Kit for Centering Black Youth Wellbeing. Developed by the Youth Research and Evaluation eXchange (YouthREX), The Kit takes a multi-faceted approach to addressing anti-Black racism and centering the wellbeing of Black youth, families, and communities. Dr. Cyril Cromwell will share resources to help understand the historical roots and context of present-day manifestations of anti-Black racism, engage with research on the impact of anti-Black racism on Black youth and their families, and highlight critical practices for centering the wellbeing of Black youth.

Presenter:
Dr. Cyril Cromwell, Director of Research & Evaluation, is a strategist, educator, and community-based researcher dedicated to advancing equity in the social service sector. Drawing on his Ph.D. in Social Justice Education and experience as a former front-line youth worker, he brings a critical, praxis-informed lens to his work. He currently serves as Director of Research and Evaluation at YouthREX and as a Contract Lecturer in the School of Child and Youth Care at Toronto Metropolitan University. In these roles, Cyril bridges theory and practice to strengthen capacity, foster critical reflection, and create transformative opportunities across the youth sector.
