Girls Belong Here 2026: Applications Open

Plan International Canada

Are you ready to lead, speak up, and make change?

Applications are now open for Girls Belong Here 2026, Plan International Canada’s signature youth leadership program! If you self-identify as a girl, woman, or gender-diverse individual between the ages of 14 and 24, this is your chance to step into spaces where decisions are made—and be heard.

Through Girls Belong Here, you’ll be matched with a partner organization in corporate, civic engagement, or civil society sectors based on your interests and skills. You’ll spend a full day connecting with leaders, sharing your ideas, and gaining real-world experience.

✨ Past participants have gone on to speak at the UN, travel globally for advocacy, and even land jobs with major organizations.

This year is extra special because October 2026 marks the 10-year anniversary of Girls Belong Here! We’re celebrating a decade of youth-led change, with over 300 alumni from across Canada who’ve brought their voices, cultures, and passions to the table.

All program-related expenses are fully covered, including travel and accommodation.

Applications are open from October 15 to November 5, 2025.
