HERE’S HOW THE HOSTS DESCRIBE THIS WEBINAR:

A far-reaching conversation about mental health in an unprecedented time. Dr. Oyedeji (Deji) Ayonrinde, Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology at Queen’s University, draws from his extensive experience that spans several continents to share insights about how to manage anxiety in the context of COVID-19, and community-based interventions for supporting and promoting mental health for youth and youth workers. We also explored the inter-weaving of mental health with race, ethnicity, and identity.

Dr. Ayonrinde is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. He was the Medical Director of the Early Psychosis Intervention Programme in South East Ontario and currently works with the Providence Care Hospital ACT Team. His research interests include youth mental health, cannabis and psychosis, knowledge translation, and cultural mental health.

The “In Conversation Series” is co-hosted by Kathe Rogers, YouthREX’s Knowledge Exchange Manager, and Cyril Cromwell, YouthREX’s Learning and Development Manager.
