12th Annual Scholarship

The BFCN scholarships and awards were created to recognize outstanding Black students with bright futures as upcoming leaders and dreamers in their communities.

This year, BFCN will be awarding four $1,000 scholarships to qualifying students pursuing education at an accredited Canadian University or College in September 2023.

Two scholarships will be awarded to undergraduate students and two scholarships will be awarded to graduate students.

Selection Criteria:

• Must be a Black student
• Must be graduating high school or CEGEP in June 2023 and attending an accredited Canadian post-secondary institution in September 2023 pursuing undergraduate education on a full-time or part-time basis OR must be currently enrolled in an accredited Canadian post-secondary institution pursuing undergraduate or graduate education on a full-time or part-time basis
• Must demonstrate financial need
• Must demonstrate community support and involvement
• Must demonstrate leadership qualities
