2024 Young Gifted and Black Scholarship

The 2024 Young Gifted and Black Scholarship is here!

In collaboration with the Black Education Fund, Parents of Black Children Canada (PoBC) proudly announces the 2024 Young, Gifted and Black Scholarship. This initiative aims to support the academic endeavours of young Black individuals in Canada.

Scholarship Details:

•  PoBC is offering five $1000 Young, Gifted and Black Scholarships.
• Black Education Fund presents nine roster scholarships, each valued at up to $4000, and ten one-time bursaries of $500.

Application Period: May 1st, 2024, at 9 am – May 31st, 2024, at 11:59 pm.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for a roster scholarship or bursary, you must:

• Identify as a member of the Canadian Black community.
• Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
• Be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited Canadian post-secondary institution.

Ineligibility Criteria:

• You are ineligible if you’ve previously received the Black Education Fund or Parents of Black Children Canada, Young Gifted and Black Scholarship.
• You are ineligible if you’re employed by PoBC, affiliated, or related to a PoBC employee, Co-founder, or Board member.
