PCK Intellectual PropertyPCK Intellectual Property, in collaboration with Roots Community Services, is offering the PCK Scholarship Program for youth from Black, African, Caribbean, and Indigenous communities.
This scholarship supports students who are passionate about education, equity, and innovation. The program recognizes social inequalities and aims to create pathways for historically underrepresented youth in intellectual property and related fields.
Scholarship Value: $2,000
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Be enrolled or accepted in a science or engineering program at an accredited Ontario college or university
- Be Black, African, Caribbean, or Indigenous youth (up to age 30) living in the GTA
- Clearly demonstrate financial need
Application Requirements:
Students must submit:
- High school and/or college/university transcript
- A 300–400 word essay on one of the following topics:
- A brief history of a Black, African, Caribbean, or Indigenous inventor
- How intellectual property systems impact racialized groups and how the system could better support them
- Resume with cover letter including:
- List of awards and achievements
- Description of extracurricular and community involvement
- Explanation of financial need
- One professional letter of recommendation
