Research Participants Needed: Immigrant Teens with Autistic Siblings

The Bohr Lab at York University is conducting a research study led by Khad Bint Misbah, M.A., a doctoral student, to better understand the experiences of immigrant teens aged 12–20 who have a sibling diagnosed with autism.

This study aims to amplify the voices of youth growing up alongside autistic siblings and explore their unique perspectives. Participants will receive $50 for their time.

Participation Includes:

• A relaxed, 30-minute Zoom chat

• A brief set of questionnaires (5 minutes)

Eligibility:

• Aged 12–20

• Have at least one sibling with an autism diagnosis

• Born outside of Canada

This study has been reviewed and approved by the York University Research Ethics Board (STU 2024-118).
