The Power Within’s Systemic Change Fellowship

The Systemic Change Fellowship, part of The Power Within program, is designed to empower youth ages 14-24 to drive policy change and promote gender equality. This fellowship offers a unique opportunity to develop your advocacy skills through a comprehensive curriculum, virtual workshops and a vibrant online platform.

Fellows will work toward making policy recommendations (from our report, The Power Within: Promoting Body Confidence, Self-Esteem, and Youth Leadership in Canada) a reality by implementing these recommendations in their own communities. This includes organizing meetings with local elected officials, creating impactful events, and advocating for systemic change.

A modest honorarium will be provided. The program also includes an in-person National Activation Youth Summit in May 2025, where fellows will convene to share experiences and strategies. This fellowship is part of a broader movement to amplify the voices of young leaders and advocate for systemic change.

Apply by November 5, 2024; selected applicants will be notified in December 2024.
