Urban Alliance on Race RelationsUrban Alliance on Race Relations has extended the deadline until July 31, 2024 for their Muslim Youth Fellowship Opportunity!
The Muslim Youth Fellowship is a political and professional skill building program that provides Muslim youth located in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) with a 12-week paid placement with Toronto City Council between September and December 2024. Fellows will work alongside elected officials and City of Toronto staff to gain exposure to various areas of politics through research, advocacy, communications, policy development, and case work.
Eligibility:
- Muslim youth between the ages of 18-30
- Demonstrated sustained civic engagement
- Involvement in Muslim community improvement or development
- An understanding of civic issues faced by the Muslim Canadian community and the Canadian community at large
- Flexible weekday availability for the duration of the placement (September to December) for 8-12 hours per week
- Eligible to work in Canada between September – December 2024
