Applications Open: 2025 Youth Environmental Changemakers Summit

The Youth Environmental Changemakers Summit is an in-person event held in Squamish, British Columbia, from March 21st-25th, designed for youth environmental changemakers to come together for five days of shared learning, reflection, and knowledge sharing.

Application Deadline: December 1, 2024, at 11:59PM Pacific Time

Eligibility Criteria and Application Cost:

• This event is open to applicants residing in Canada, aged 14-30-years-old as of March 1st, 2025.
• This event can provide funding for travel expenses within Canada for youth aged 14-25 as of March 1st, 2025.
• If accepted as a delegate to attend the Summit, a deposit fee of $250 CAD is required to secure your placement. If for any reason you are unable to pay the full deposit, please contact prama@thestarfish.ca for alternative options.
• Applicants from equity-deserving groups are strongly encouraged to apply, including, but not limited to, those who identify as femme, 2SLGBTQIA+, non-binary, Black, Indigenous and People of Colour, those who express financial need, and those living with any form of disability. Please consider self-identifying in the application form to help us prioritize your application.
• If you have previously attended the Youth Environmental Changemakers Summit, please note that we will be prioritizing new applications for the 2025 Summit.

In accordance with our mission to make youth leadership opportunities accessible, all food, accommodation, and travel expenses will be covered by The Starfish Canada for participants between the ages of 14-25. Participants between the ages of 25-30 are also welcome to attend but will be responsible for their own travel expenses.
