KDE Hub

KDE Hub is hosting a webinar featuring Dr. Tanya Halsall, Scientist at the University of Ottawa Institute of Mental Health Research, titled “Navigating Drift: Exploring Current Challenges & Opportunities in Health Promotion and Upstream Prevention.”

Upstream approaches focus on preventing problems before they happen and enhancing overall well-being. This webinar will explore issues related to the implementation of upstream initiatives.

The session will begin by examining the continuum of interventions that span upstream and downstream approaches, introduce the concept of “lifestyle drift” and review mechanisms of influence. You will hear about recent work exploring solutions to enhance implementation of upstream initiatives for the promotion of greater health equity.

This webinar may be of interest to those working in upstream mental health promotion and youth substance use prevention, including those interested in the Icelandic Prevention Model.
