Needing Youth Voices: Calling Youth Passionate About Harm Reduction

The Trip! Project

The Trip! Project is a youth-led harm reduction health information service for the dance music scene and youth who use drugs. Trip! provides outreach at parties, workshops, trains peer educators and volunteers, and uses social media to engage with youth who use drugs in Toronto. Trip! is currently in search of youth with passion, opinions, and familiarity with drug use and/or the Party Scene in Toronto to assist with the evaluation and development of The Trip! Project.

They are conducting a 90-minute focus group with Toronto youth 29 and under (teenagers encouraged, too) in January to learn about relevant harm reduction programming for youth who use drugs across different youth communities. They are particularly interested in learning from youth who are familiar with drug use and/or party scenes in Toronto but have not been a volunteer and/or peer worker with Trip!.

This short confidential survey asks some questions to learn if you are eligible. They will also ask you some scheduling questions. More details are contained in the survey link; you can also click on the Learn More button.

A $40 honorarium will be provided following the focus group.

The Trip! Project is located at Parkdale Queen West Community Health Centre (PQWCHC), a community-based health service organization located in south-west Toronto. Trip! and PQWCHC are partnering with the Centre for Community Based Research to lead this evaluation.
