Planting the Seeds of Sustainable Youth Engagement in Research

This session will explore how to involve young people in meaningful, long-term research projects. Attendees will learn best practices for ensuring sustainable youth engagement and gain tools and resources to evaluate youth involvement in their projects.

Objectives:

• Introduce principles of sustainability in youth engagement in research and how they apply to the design, implementation, and dissemination of research projects.
• To share practical tools and examples in fostering long-term engagement and retention of youth participants/co-researchers.
• Explore methods for evaluating the impact and sustainability of youth engagement efforts.
