Regent Park Scholarship – TCHC and TRIDEL

The Toronto Community Housing (TCHC) and TRIDEL Regent Park Scholarship is open now!

Who is eligible:

This scholarship is available to TCHC tenants ages 17 and older who meet the following criteria:

• Current or relocated (due to revitalization) TCHC tenants of the Regent Park community
• Resident in good standing
• Entering or enrolled in a full- or part-time post-secondary accredited college, university, career academy, or trade school program in the 2024-25 school year
• Able to demonstrate a need for financial assistance
• Able to demonstrate community involvement/leadership.
• Through our Confronting Anti-Black Racism Strategy, we are committed to providing meaningful economic opportunities, such as creating and prioritizing access to scholarship opportunities that Black-identifying tenants can participate in and attain.

Key information:

• Application deadline: Monday, June 24, 2024 at 4 p.m.
• Scholarship awards are valued at up to $3,000 for tuition fees.
• A $500 bursary is awarded for books and fees, such as transportation costs.
• A cumulative maximum of $10,000 (tuition plus bursaries) per recipient from the scholarship program throughout the revitalization period, or until funds have been exhausted.
• Scholarship awards are applicable for part- or full-time post-secondary studies. Programs may be in-person, online, or hybrid.
• Recipients will be selected by a panel of evaluators. Winners will be contacted on Friday, July 12.
• Scholarship awards will be paid directly to the post-secondary/training institution and bursaries will be paid to the recipient upon proof of enrolment.
• Scholarship recipients are eligible to use their funds to pay tuition fees for several terms within one academic calendar year, including Fall 2024 and Winter 2025.
• Apply online or pick up an application package from our office at 530 Dundas St. E. on Mondays and Thursdays between 10 a.m – 4p.m
