Youth Social Entrepreneurship Hackathon

Interested in social entrepreneurship and creating positive change in your community? The Impact Hackathon is a two-day event designed to help young people (ages 16 – 29) transform real-world problems into innovative social enterprise ideas.

Participants will work in teams to brainstorm, develop, and prototype solutions in a supportive, hands-on environment. Day 1 focuses on understanding community challenges, forming teams, and developing ideas, while Day 2 is dedicated to building prototypes, receiving mentorship, and pitching concepts to a panel.

By the end of the hackathon, participants will have a clear and actionable social enterprise concept ready for further development.

Date: July 11 & July 13, 2026
Location: Bayview Yards, 7 Bayview Station Road, Ottawa, Ontario
Cost: Free
