HERE’S HOW THE AUTHORS DESCRIBE THIS REPORT:

This report is about the experiences of young women in leadership: how they navigate leadership spaces and define their work. Many of the participants we interviewed for this research say they became leaders because of a void — they didn’t see anyone who looked like them to look up to. The research in this report focuses on the experiences of young women and non-binary youth in Canada, between the ages of 18 and 25, and offers recommendations to schools, companies, and non-profit organizations for opening the doors to leadership.

This report was funded by the Government of Canada through the Department for Women and Gender Equality’s Capacity-Building Grant.
