HERE’S HOW THE AUTHORS DESCRIBE THIS REPORT:

Many young people who live in residential care experience feelings of isolation, fear, and rootlessness, and don’t feel included in decisions made about their lives. These are some of the findings in a new report by the Provincial Advocate for Children & Youth called Searching for Home: Reimagining Residential Care. In response to meeting the Ontario government requests to provide further recommendations on residential care, this report is a reflection of the voices of young people who have had personal experiences with Ontario’s residential care system.
