HERE’S HOW THE AUTHORS DESCRIBE THIS REPORT:

Most of us are by now aware that 1 in 5 Canadians will experience a mental health issue, typically during their youth; what is less acknowledged is the fact that young people have traditionally been disengaged and mute on this issue.

SOUND OFF is a youth led initiative of the Schizophrenia Society of Ontario (SSO) that developed out of the fundamental need to get youth talking and mobilized on the topic of mental health. This report summarizes responses to a survey conducted with 1530 youth (between the ages of 15-25) from Ontario responding to issues of mental health.
