From February 13 to 15, 2012, there was an appeal at the Federal Court in Ottawa, Ontario, for the First Nations child welfare case. The complaint was filed to the Canadian Human Rights Commission in 2007 by the First Nations Child & Family Caring Society and the Assembly of First Nations against the Government of Canada, alleging discrimination against First Nations children, youth, and families living on reserves for providing less child welfare funding.
