Kids with disabilities have been included in schools and told by their parents that they can be what they want to be. Are employers and higher education ready to accept their role to accommodate these individuals and help them to realize the same dreams as those without disabilities for employment? IndependenceFirst has programs that range from peer support, youth leadership training, transitional skill building, internships and employment services – and much more – to help youth with disabilities succeed. IndependenceFirst debuted this video at the POWER LUNCH, which featured Henry Winkler as their guest speaker – a man who chose his career of acting partially because of his learning disabilities.
