An Exciting New Channel for Knowledge Mobilization: Introducing REX TV!
YouthREX is excited to introduce its YouTube channel: REX TV!
This channel is not just another collection of videos but a platform that celebrates the voices and stories of Ontario’s diverse youth sector. REX TV furthers YouthREX’s mission to make research evidence and evaluation practices accessible and relevant to Ontario’s grassroots youth sector through knowledge exchange, capacity building, and evaluation leadership.
Content That Matters
As YouthREX’s Multimedia Storyteller, it has been a privilege to look back through almost 10 years of videos, each offering a unique perspective into Ontario youth work and youth wellbeing. Harnessing the immense resources of YouthREX’s Knowledge Hub, it has been my goal to re-imagine and re-work this wealth of content.
Transforming inspiring moments and actionable insights from webinars into concise highlights or generating audiograms provides accessible means to introduce viewers to nuanced issues, fostering an understanding of diverse perspectives.
Though our capacity building initiatives have provided so many youth workers with in-person and virtual learning opportunities, creating a space for them on REX TV makes their reach even wider. Knowing that I have personally gained so much knowledge watching each of these videos, it’s exciting to imagine how many more people will benefit from REX TV’s library of 200+ videos.
Accessibility for All Viewers
Accessibility is a key priority for REX TV, and all our videos feature closed captions. These captions ensure that our content is inclusive, supporting not only those who are Deaf or hard of hearing, but also viewers in diverse environments or language contexts. By offering captions, we aim to make the knowledge and stories shared on REX TV accessible to everyone in Ontario’s youth sector.
We also categorize our video library to ensure that users can easily find what might be most relevant to their practice, questions, or areas of interest! Some of the exciting content categories you can expect on REX TV include:
Community Spotlights: Dive into the world of Ontario’s youth sector through some of our incredible community partners. These videos amplify youth organizations and provide an opportunity for them to share their powerful stories.
