Canada Youth Climate Action Award

Pivot Green is proud to once again accept applications to the Canadian Youth Climate Action Award in partnership with the Small Change Fund. The deadline for applications is March 17, 2025.

The Canadian Youth Climate Action Award will provide the first-place prize winner with $7,500 and a plaque. Two $3,500 prizes will be given to runners-up and up to eight additional $1,000 prizes will be awarded to projects worthy of an honorable mention.

Submissions should be for established projects only. Awards will be given to projects that best meet the Pivot Green mission and values. Our primary focus is to reward the efforts of young Canadians who, by working together with other generations, have brought forward impactful ideas and actions that address the key climate change challenges of our times.

The Award will be given to the program/project that best meets the following criteria:

• Lead to concrete, impactful climate actions within communities
• Is primarily a youth-led, local, regional or national initiative
• Involves a range of ages in its outreach and activities
• Has a positive environmental and social impact
• Has the potential to be replicated in other Canadian communities

Award winners will be asked to provide Pivot Green with a short video and an update on their activities, and provide news items suitable for posting on the Small Change, Pivot Green websites, and on social media channels when available.
