Using the Accessibility Matrix for Youth Service Navigation
1 month ago 1 month agoThis webinar was hosted by Tamarack Institute.
HERE’S HOW THE HOSTS DESCRIBE THIS WEBINAR:
Across Turtle Island (North America), it is difficult for young people to navigate services tailored for them. Finding the right services and support has been identified as a barrier to youth success.
We can improve service navigation by examining the specific barriers that exist, and connecting them with strategies communities can use to improve access to youth services.
In this webinar, we shared:
- The latest research into the key barriers facing youth in accessing supports.
- How the Accessibility Matrix can be used to learn about the barriers in your own community.
- The range of strategies that can be used to improve service navigation matched to each barrier.
Speakers:
- Lisa Attygalle, Tamarack Institute
- Jessica Gilligan, Tamarack Institute
- Kathe Rogers (she/her), Registered Social Worker, YouthREX
- Kerry Yang, Health Sciences Student & Associate Vice President of Municipal Affairs, McMaster University
