This Evidence Brief summarizes strategies for Black youth to respond to the use of the N-Word as a racial slur and address the hurt and emotional powerlessness that this use can cause. Key issues for youth workers, educators, and caregivers are also outlined, as are details about the reasons why this word has resisted attempts to ban its use.
