Ask Me Anything: AI and Youth Work
sometime sometimeThis webinar was hosted by YouthREX.
HERE’S HOW THE HOSTS DESCRIBE THIS WEBINAR:
We hosted an interactive Ask Me Anything (AMA) session in which participants had the opportunity to share questions, thoughts, and explore the real-world applications of AI.
Together, we explored how we can collect and use data responsibly while supporting young people, how to maintain confidentiality when using AI-powered tools, how AI can be integrated in ways that centre the unique needs of youth and considerations of equity, how AI can support administrative and routine tasks so we can refocus on building deep, human connections with young people, and how reliance on AI may impact trust, empathy, and rapport.
The conversation was facilitated by Meena Das, CEO, consultant, and facilitator of two practices, NamasteData and Data Is For Everyone. NamasteData focuses on advancing data equity for non-profits and social impact agencies, while Data Is For Everyone provides tools and resources to help people navigate the world of data. Meena is a specialist in designing and teaching equitable research tools and analyzing engagement. She supports non-profits in three critical areas: data collection assessments, community surveys, and staff workshops on topics such as improving data equity and human-centric algorithms.
